I graduated with a BS last year in cyber sec and networking engineering. I have 5 years helpdesk experience. should I just go for my cysa+ and start gunning for those security analyst roles? the burnout for helpdesk is starting to get to me considering I'm trying to save for a house after paying off my debts :/

I would say there are maybe two GRC roles I would be interested in. They are IT Auditor and Risk Analyst. I am more interested in IT Auditor role however...

Can I get into grc without any prior cyber security knowledge??

I am 37, and just got my bachelors degree in IT two years ago. I have been procrastinating (mostly scared) to pursue career in IT. I just dont know where to start. I am currently an admin asst. in maintenance and operations but I feel like I am wasting my time here esp. after spending $30k for my degree. I love technology and want to do something within the field. cybersecurity seems like a great start. I also like to troubleshoot. Any other recommendations for IT Careers? Any good remote jobs? I have two little one’s at home so that would be super helpful.

SQL isn’t a language but it’s a scripting language and it’s one of the most important scripting languages out there I would say even competes with python and all the most popular programming languages because every company needs to store data so it’s literally the most valuable out there

Hello I'm in the process of obtaining the following for 3 certifications from SANS ... SEC275 Foundations & GFACT Certification... The second course you will take is SEC401 Security Essentials & GSEC Certification.... The third and final course you will take is SEC504 Incident Handling & GCIH Certification ... I have zero IT experience and just wanted to know upon completion of these certifications what type of job can I get?
